A busy but productive weekend. The middle room was made ready on time for the plasterer and everything is going to plan. Another day of dust, muck, and bad singing and the room will be ready for a new sub-floor and some paint.
The only casualty so far is one of the electrical outlets which got bashed when the old coving came down, then Murphay's law decided that the best place for the largest dollop of plaster to be dropped was directly into the remains of the outlet. Needless to say wet plaster and electrics don't mix. The RCD tripped and took out the house power before it downed the national grid. At least something works in this house.
Removing the last of the skirting board and chopping out all the rotten plaster left us with some pretty nasty holes in the brickwork.
