Year of the heap
Well its been a year and a week since we moved into the dung heap. In that time we've managed quite a bit but no where near as much as we had hoped. Oh well, we aren't exactly in a rush to enter Britain's best house competition. To recap, we've purged our mutant spore growing fridge. Replaced some of the world's ugliest light fixtures and some rather suspect wiring. Assembled and installed far too much Ikea furniture in the form of wardrobes and pantries. Torn a room down to the brickwork and floorboards, replaced the wiring, radiator pipework and created a rather pleasant working space. Ripped out a sadistic power shower that loved to change its temperature at random. Filled assorted cracks and holes. Shoveled up a tonne of gravel. Demolished a concrete bunker that pretended to be a garage. Moved and poured 2500kg of so called instant concrete. Erected a shed/workshop in its place. Sent the oven and hob to the appliance graveyard. And we've only just begun.

And all I have done is paint the bathroom; but it needed it.
