Arthur

So far you may think there is nothing good or positive about the dung heap. To redress the balance I'd like to point out the house does have many good points.

One of the best features is our little patio. Its not huge but big enough for a table, chairs and BBQ. Its nicely nestled between our back wall and the neighbour's extension. A couple of hanging baskets and some unusual hanging garden ornaments help to personalise things.

One ornament that had been missing was 'Arthur' the Mexican painted terracota lizard. Arthur has been following us around for the best part of 10 years and 6 addresses, including a trans-Atlantic crossing. Lately he's been living on the ground guarding the various potted plants. He was starting to get a bit mossy so we decided to put him back on the wall.

Sometimes diy isn't all demolition, reconstruction, and painting. Sometimes its 2 mins with the drill to make the house a bit more like home.

Oh yea, why 'Arthur' you may ask. Surely you've heard of 'Art Gecko'.
