Quiet week, not any more.

Not much progress this week. The radiator has had all of its valves and connectors replaced, and been reinstalled. A bit more peelie-paint has been removed from the ceiling but that's it. Other commitments have given us a bit of break from the diy.

All change now the weekend is here. We are now fighting the dung heap on two fronts. First we need to get the room finished so I can move my office back in to free up the guest room. Which in turn will need some work prior to Christmas. The list of remaining tasks seem to be growing rather than shrinking. Finish stripping the ceiling, finish the painting, replace the light fixture, replace the electrical outlets, finish the sub-floor, lay the hardwood laminate, install the skirting boards.........

On the second front, now the bunker has been busted, we've taken advantage of a generous discount and ordered its replacement. Its a 24' by 12' workshop. Most of it will be sitting on the existing garage foundation but we will have to extend this by about 6'. That means concrete or putting down slabs. Either way we now have to clear and level a hefty bit of the back garden where the shed and triffid lived, put down the base, and all before Oct 20.
