All quiet on the dung heap front

I can't believe its been 9 weeks since I last posted an update. A distinct lack of free time and far too much else going on has stalled things to say the least.

What's been happening? Not a lot to be truthful. We've been recharging the bank account and making plans. We think the back garden is pretty well planned out. Just a hell of a lot of work to do. Inside things are on hold for a bit. Turns out the shower has been leaking into the dividing wall between the bathroom and utility room. Oh b*gger, or words to that effect. As previously mentioned one of the grande plans we had was to move the bathroom upstairs into what is currently the guest cell. It looks like that may be the best option in the short term as we are going to have to rip out the dividing wall anyway we may as well just move the bathroom. That means the temporary loss of the guest cell until we can do the loft. Oh well.

In the mean time we are going to concentrate on the mess that is the back garden. Step 1 is to replace the joke of a fence.

As you can see its barely standing and a good breeze will see it half way to Kansas with a young girl and small dog in tow. The left side is the worst with no 2 panels being of the same type or height. None of the posts are particularly vertical either.

Queue the delivery of a whole new set of fence panels and posts. Its good when you can just walk down the street and support a local small business. Ordered on Thursday, delivered Saturday and a lot cheaper than the big box DIY centres too. Well done Orchard Fencing.

If it ever stops raining.............

No jokes about the Irish Olympic fencing team please.
